We're off again to the state of Guerrero, Mexico, where Waterloo Road Baptist Church has been serving since 1990. Our strategic partnership with STBS, the Baptist Seminary in San Jeronimito, has given us the opportunity to see the world thru missional eyes. This year we celebrate our 21st annual mission trip as a church. Please be in prayer for us this week as we minister thru leadership training seminars, vacation bible schools, evangelism, EvangeCube training, an eyeglasses ministry and just plain old fellowship with our brothers in Christ in the state of Guerrero, Mexico.

Monday - Eyeglasses Ministry & VBS in Las Pozas

Even tho it might look like a prison, this building is the Abandoned Seniors Center in Las Pozas.......... Pastor Griff, Joetta and I will be working there the rest of the week. The building is not completed yet (included here are some pics of the work in progress) but they are allowing the Las Pozas house church to use the facility for 3 days of VBS as well as an vision check/eyeglasses ministry.....

It seems that in Mexico, sometimes fathers don't do that great of a job being dads and when they become old and infirm, they have no one to care for them because they really aren't respected. This 'retirement facility' provides a place for them to come and be cared for.

So before everything started, I went out with my 'posse' again ........ here we are making our way down the rocky path. Everywhere are what look like 'lagoons' or standing water where the locals have scooped out the soil to make bricks...... then it rains and you have nasty pools of water everywhere.

We had 49 kids show up for VBS .......

'Dr. Ken Flaming' and Sara Flaming gave out over 42 pairs of glasses and in the process, 14 received Christ. It is an incredible ministry tool and I'm sure we'll use it again it in the future.

Location:the ends of the earth.......
