We're off again to the state of Guerrero, Mexico, where Waterloo Road Baptist Church has been serving since 1990. Our strategic partnership with STBS, the Baptist Seminary in San Jeronimito, has given us the opportunity to see the world thru missional eyes. This year we celebrate our 21st annual mission trip as a church. Please be in prayer for us this week as we minister thru leadership training seminars, vacation bible schools, evangelism, EvangeCube training, an eyeglasses ministry and just plain old fellowship with our brothers in Christ in the state of Guerrero, Mexico.

Saturday - Day One, morning

Griff, Joetta and I have the privilege of working with Pastor Wilbert Martinez of the Fitst Baptist Church of Zihuatanejo. I first met him in 1992 (he was 14) and now he is one of the most visionary pastors in the state of Guerrero - in fact, he is the president of the state Baptist convention here.

Saturday we visited 2 of his TWELVE (12, count 'em) missions that his church has started and supports. This is a photo of the building at 'Lomas del Valle' - a little church that built a pole barn church on what used to be a dump. The property was given to First Baptist by the local government.

So we climbed hills and wandered around here for a while, inviting people to church and sharing the Word.......... my group had 3 people pray the prayer of salvation and I promised them a bible if they'd come to church........ is that extortion ? I think not.........
